Something I didn’t notice in yesterday’s clusterfuck: The fact that the argument of “SOME of us don’t work with spirits/deities for gain!” with the tone of “I am judging you. JUDGING YOU! How very dare you want more for your life!” was hurled at me and people who operate in a way similar to mine.
Okay, look.
Some of us work with spirits/deities because it just feels right. Some of us do it for companionship. Some of us do it because we feel the need to be worshipful of an entity outside of ourselves. Some of us do it because being in a position of servitude feels good to/for us.
Some of us do it because we have needs that for some reason can’t be met on our own. Some of us do it because we believe spirit work is like every healthy, grownup, symbiotic relationship: Give and take.
Some of us do it for any combination of the above reasons.
And all of those reasons are equally valid.
